This year we got to spend Christmas in Maui! It was fun to be able to leave cold Utah and spend a few days in the sun! It was a weird experience being away from home on Christmas and not doing the traditional Christmas celebrations, but it was still a lot of fun!

This was our first time going to the Blow Hole on Maui! That is my dad getting sopping wet standing next to the hole :)

This was at Fleming Beach on our last day. The waves were huge and Ty and my dad stayed out in the waves the whole time we were there. I got crushed the first few minutes after being in, so I became the observer :) Ty is off to the right in this picture and my dad is just to the left of where the wave is crashing, with the blue boogie board.

Car Shows

Ok, it has been awhile. We have gone to a few car shows recently, and here are some pics from them. We went to the Cache Valley Cruise-In car show over the 4th of July. The next car show was a small one in American Fork at Gene Harvey Chevrolet. Our truck won a sponsor award from Gene Harvey at this one. When they announced it, they said it was interesting because the Chevrolet dealership chose a Ford truck as its favorite vehicle there :) The next car show was during AF's Steel Days. Our truck won another sponsor award from Checker Auto Parts. There are still a few more car shows this summer, so we will be posting more pictures!

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell a few weeks ago for the first time this summer! It was our family, Brent and Tracy and the kids, the Clements, and the Curtis'. It was tons of fun, but the water was freezing! Here are a few pictures, mostly from tubing. The Clements brought their boat and their tubes as well, and you would not believe what kind of driver this guy was! We were happy to take all the tube riders back to the houseboat in one piece :)

There was also the fire on the docks while we were down there. It happened Friday night, so luckily we were away from the docks when it happened. It was only 6 slips away from where our boat usually parks, and we had to cross the police tape to go up the dock! Crazy! All in all, it was a great trip!

Camping Memorial Day Weekend

Over Memorial Day weekend, Brent and Tracy and the kids and our family went camping to the Sand Dunes near Delta. We went on a few rides but we mostly just stayed around camp. We went on a ride to Chicken Rock one of the days and rode on a loop back around to our camp. It starting raining after we got back but it was a fun trip!

This past weekend was the annual UVU car show at Thanksgiving Point. We entered our truck into the show and spent Saturday there having lots of fun. There were around 800 cars in the show. We can't wait for the next one! Here are some pictures from the show:

Ty has been working on his CO2 car for almost the whole school year! He got to race his car this past week against some other people in his class and he did a great job!

Green River

We went to Green River last week for Spring Break with family and friends. It was lots of fun despite the weather. Here are some pictures we took from the rides we went on.
